As career professionals we should have up-to-date resumes and CVs (and know the difference between the two) so that we are ready to take advantage of new opportunities in the field when they arise. At the same time, we may be called upon to participate on search committees or to hire assistants. Expanding our expertise in these areas is an important part of our professional lives. This workshop will address topics from both sides of the interview table: Creating, revising, updating resumes and CVs | Writing effective cover letters | How to succeed in the interview process | Evaluating job applications and conducting a job interview | Writing a job description | Upgrading a position. We will focus on skill building and provide a hands-on, active learning session.
